Attorney Jayne Marsh Gilbert also holds a torch in the Gilbert family tradition of working in the legal industry. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1986 and then graduated from the University of Washington School in 1989, making her the third generation of the Gilbert family to Graduate from the UW Law School behind her grandfather, Warren J. Gilbert, Sr. who started the Gilbert Law Firm in 1921 and her father, Warren J. Gilbert, Jr. who joined the firm in 1954.


Following her graduation in 1989, Jayne took the Alaska Bar and worked in Juneau, Alaska for one of the larger law firms in Alaska. In 1991, she moved to Los Angeles, California and passed their state bar, residing there until she returned to Skagit County passing her third bar in 1995 and began working with her brother, Warren M. Gilbert and her father, Warren J. Gilbert at Gilbert & Gilbert Lawyers.


In 2001 Jayne moved to Savary Island, British Columbia, a tiny little island just south of Desolation Sound, until returning to Mount Vernon in the Fall of 2007. Ms. Gilbert began working with one of her other brothers, Peter Gilbert, at Gilbert & Gilbert Lawyers in 2010. Ms. Gilbert’s primary practice areas are probate and estate planning including the creation and interpretation of trusts and wills.

Attorney Jayne Marsh graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in 1986 and then graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1989, making her the third generation of the Gilbert family to graduate from the UW Law School. She follows her grandfather, Warren J. Gilbert, Sr., who started the Gilbert Law Firm in 1921, and her father, Warren J. Gilbert, Jr., who joined the firm in 1954.


While in Law School, Jayne worked for a Law Firm in Alaska. Following graduation in 1989, Jayne took the Alaska Bar and worked in Juneau, Alaska, for one of the larger law firms in Alaska. In 1991, she moved to Los Angeles, California, and passed their state bar, residing there until she returned to Skagit County, passing her third bar in 1995, and began working with her brother, Warren M. Gilbert, and her father, Warren J. Gilbert at Gilbert & Gilbert Lawyers.
